EAST FARMS East Farmington Station is located on the east side of Farmington. Its district runs roughly from the West Hartford townline to the east, New Britain townline to the south, Avon townline to the north, and Farmington Ave, and Colt Hwy to the west. The district is a mix of both residential and commercial properties. Also included in the district is the UCONN Health Center, Interstate 84, Route 9, and the West Farms mall. The apparatus that are stationed here are Engine Co. 9, Engine Co. 10, and Medic 11 a BLS fly car. Engine Co. 9 is an engine-tanker which covers the eastern side of town which also happens to have the least amount of hydrants. Engine Co. 10 is a rescue engine that carries a full complement of Hurst extrication equipment, rope rescue, some Haz-Mat equipment, and an assortment of other tools and engine company equipment. Engine Co. 10 has also quickly become the busiest Engine Co. in town. Three Firefighters are assigned here Monday - Friday, 7am-5pm.
