MEDIC 16

Medic 16 is stationed at the Tunxis Hose Co. #1 In Unionville. Originally named Utility 6, this GMC Suburban was purchased in 1996 to operate as an all around utility vehicle. Eventually, Utility 6 was renamed Medic 16 and began running on medical calls to save the wear and tear on the heavy rescue Emergency 1, the predecessor to Rescue 15. Medic 16 carries a full compliment of medical equipment geared towards basic life support functions, as well, as several airpacks, forcible entry equipment, and it serves as the tow vehicle for Tunxis's water rescue trailer and John Deere Gator.
